The Mummy

Here we have a film poster advertizing the release of the film 'the Mummy'. Instantly the viewer can recognize that the film is to be set in Eygpt due to the pyramids. This may spark the attention of those interested in different cultures as they may see the film as an opportunity to experience and see different culture.
From the film poster we can also see a large evil-looking face in which is formed from sand. This signals to the audience that the film is going to be of the horror genre as it shows evil surroundign the setting.
The 'dark sand' colour theme also signals to the audience that the film is to be of a horror genre as they can tell that beneath the colourful landscape of the pyramids, darkness lurks.
From this poster we can also tell that the film is to be released on the 7th of May and through this we can expect the viewers of the poster to be eagerly anticipating the first screening whilst spreading the news of the new release through word of mouth.
The caption and the bottom of the poster acts almost as a slogan as such, in the way that it exists to serve the purpous of attracting the audience to see the film.
