Blue Crush
From this 'Blue Crush' poster we can instantly tell that the film is about surfing due to the following elements:
First of all there are three surfboards on the poster and so surf-lovers everywhere will be attracted to this film. Secondly, the name 'Blue Crush' also gives the idea of big bue waves crushign down and so we can interpret the film is about surfing.
The catchline at the bottom of the poster - 'If you want to feel the rush, you have to take the risk,' promises the audience an exciting film involving lots of 'edge-of-your-seat' moments.
The three models on the front of poster also hint that the film will involve lots of people who are not wearing very much due to the fact that they will be spending most of their time down at the beach in hot weather. This will attract people to see the film itself.
The colour theme as shown on the poster seems exciting as there are a wide range of bright, interesting colours which may symblize to the viewer that the film is going to be exciting.
The massive wave in the background signals that this is no ordinary surf-documentary-esc film and that it's gritty realsim and hard-hitting footage is a must watch.
The film poster also leaves the audience in a state of awe and wonder in the way that it is already beginning to depict a story in that we can see that these girls have already been in the sea, surfing some incredibly large waves. This then means that the film must contain eveidence for this and so we wonder how long a person can escape the furiouse grip of nature?
Finally, in the way of a subtitle, there are names of people and companies printed underneath the main title.
This attracts people to watch the film in the way that they are able to see and spot any names of people or companies who they rate well from previous productions.
