"Surfing is a part of every day life in the island of Jersey and to the people who live here, it's not just a sport, but a lifestyle.
The following documentary is an attempt to expose the hidden secret of one of the best surfing locations in the Channel Islands - Stinky Bay.
Jersey has numerous locations which do receive incoming swell from the channel.
The places include Plemont Bay, The Watersplash, Secrets Beach, Barger Ground and finally, the unknown Stinky Bay.
During my first few days in Jersey, I was getting a feeling that perhaps the local pro's didn't want to expose their secret of a hidden bay and so I decided to ask a few more of the locals about the alleged Stinky Bay.
The locals were acting shift and so I decided to get in contact with a few of the local pro's who have grown up surfing in the island so as to ask them a few questions relating to local surf and the alleged Stinky Bay.
(Interview 1)
I felt as though Connor knew more about Stinky bay than he was letting on and so I decided to set up another interview with local pro Bastien De Ville.
(Interview 2)
Bastien had left behind a map of Jersey's west coast in his interview which gave me a rough location of Stinky Bay so I decided to investigate further.
(Stinky Bay Scene)
To my embarassment and dissapointment I'd reached an anti-climax in my journey.
I had been the subject of a prank by the group of local surfers and the legend of the so-called Stinky Bay was a mere hoax.
